Jackie- final week submission
Hi everyone, here is my final submission for this term- I've tried to tackle the notes about her movement around fr 145, that we were discussing on the blog, her hitting a wall in some places, I've added some secondary movement/ keep alive on the dragon's feet and arms/ pole. I've started to polish up the rough patches a bit (it helped to take a week off because now I can see some of that stuff a bit more). I've also changed the second shot blocking, to reflect Victor's acting notes from the week 11 class. Any thoughts would be much appreciated. Thanks for an awesome class everyone, and I'll see you in the fall! Jackie

Viv – "Don't Like You Anymore" WIP
I've covered most of the notes I received last class. I'm certainly still going to work on this before class tomorrow evening. I'm mostly curious if the speed/timing for the glance up around 260 and the turn away at the end work. Thanks for the comments and feedback!

Viv – "Burn You" WIP
I've addressed all the notes I received last time for this shot (I can happily list the notes if needed). I'm still not entirely happy with the expression change around frame 160. I'm not sure if it still gets lost due to his body movements, so perhaps I should shift the expression change a few frames earlier? I like the timing of him standing up and placing his hands on the desk, so I'd rather not delay/speed those up unless it's necessary.
Let me know what you guys think. Thank you and have a great 4th of July!

Benoit - New pass
Hi guys!
Here is a new pass where I:
- Simplified the begining,
- Sharpened the transitions,
- Start blocking the blue guys.

I'm still working on it, but any comment is welcome.
Thank you!

Jackie- tackling the C curve reversal note
Hi everyone, here I've addressed the note about taking out the C curve reversal pose around frame 131. I've tried to drift her from the pose at 120, into the pose at 163. I'm a bit confused about the direction, because I would think she'd still need to drift back with the "ok" hand gesture, to give her somewhere to go to fr 163. I've left the body movement back to screen left, around fr 125, and I've also left in a bit of the bend on the chest, neck and head. Is this working any better? Thanks and have a great weekend! Jackie

Jackie- video reference
Hi guys, here is video reference I've done for shot 2 of my project; I'm going to focus on this shot for the last bit of this class. I can get to shot 3 in the fall. Let me know if you have any thoughts; I think take 3 is best. Sorry for the format problem. cheers, Jackie

New Shot Layout
Hey everyone! Back from the mystical land of NJ and I wanted to upload the new layout for my shot - having trouble keeping girl Malcolm in the frame in the beginning. I also worry about them looking out of proportion since Malcolm is so horribly tall and skinny and other models I've found are short and fat. Thoughts? Thanks in advance!

Visit to Pixar
Hey Victor!
I was thinking about if possible, we could have a opportunity to go visit the Pixar studios with you.
In my case, i'll be going back to Brazil very soon, and don't know if also the rest of the crew will have a opportunity like that again.
Thanks!

Malcolm - IK/FK Switch
Anyone had luck with FK to IK switching on Malcolm? I tried using the switch that comes with the GUI but it lines up the wrist all funny, just wondering if there was a trick to it I'm missing. Thanks!

Viv – Dialogue #2 Options
Here are my dialogue options for the next piece. There's no rush for feedback on these– at the most I will do a layout pass for this scene since I should still concentrate on my previous dialogue.
While some of these are a bit lengthy, particularly the last clip, I have some ideas on how to cut them down. For example, clip 5 could be cut around 17 seconds, so it starts with "You were right", making it only about 7 seconds long.
I may look for additional dialogue clips depending on what you guys think of these. My goal was to find some clips with some strong, tearful emotion. While I wasn't necessarily aiming to find tragic or gloomy scenes, these were the best dialogue clips I found so far. If anyone has suggestions for similar clips please let me know.

Mallo 8 sec clip new attitude poses.
Hey Guys!
I've changed the attitude pose at second part of dialogue. I'd like to know if this time i'm going in the right direction before to get the shot in spline.
Thanks!

Tonight's class
Hi Victor,
I'm sorry, but some unforseen events happened at work today and I'm not sure I'll make it tonight. So here is what I originaly planed to show tonight:
- LINK - The last version of my shot. I changed the end a little bit and add some extra facial animations (brows rise and blink) so it reads more. I also reduced (almost removed) the arm move so it's not stealing the attention from the face.
- LINK - This is an idea for my new assignment. I imagined something in 2 parts:
- The 1st one, with two characters facing for a fight (as in a fight video game). The first character is tough, very cocky and ready to fight. The second character (tough as well) is totally girly. This character acts and hits like a woman which surprises the other one who gets slapped and knocked out.
- In the second part we realized that it was a grandmother / mother playing a video game with her grand son. Then she says the line while standing up and turning the tv off.
Thank you and sorry again if I can't make it tonight.

Benoit - Few fixes
Hi there,
Here is the last version of my shot: https://www.dropbox.com/s/r9ys7t7ln6lv0db/benoit_clintEastwood_04.mov
I addressed Victor's notes but I am still struggling a little bit with the final attitude. What do you think?
Thank you!

Fixes
So I think I've addressed all the notes from last class - with the exception of the breath she takes after "thursday". If I have her breath in, it destroys her mouth position or makes her body look like it's having a mini-seizure. I think I might just be doing it wrong. Any ideas? And I'm going to animate the hair next since I've pretty much nailed the body down. Thanks everyone!

Jackie- more progress
Hi everyone, Here's more progress; I've tried to address Victor's notes about the end, and I haven't started offsetting/ overlapping anything yet. On the girl, I'm trying to communicate a snooty/ snobby attitude. Is it reading? As always, I'm open to vetoes on anything, even though I'm working in spline. Thanks for viewing!
